Ramco Enterprises LP, headquartered in Salinas, California is a full service staffing company specialized in the food processing, light industrial, warehousing, and agricultural industries.
The organization needs to upgrade their existing Microsoft Exchange Email Server which was quickly running out of storage, new features and quickly approaching it’s end-of life. With 150 plus email boxes and hundreds of mobile devices, the company needed a smooth transition to a new email server while minimizing any downtime during their busiest season.
RAMCO’s IT manager turns to Adaptive Information Systems to complete their email migration to Microsoft’s Cloud. The engineers at Adaptive begin building the cloud hosted email platform and begin deploying their email migration tools for a seamless transition.
Adaptive engineers start to synchronize all of RAMCO’s email boxes to the cloud in preparation to flip a switch and have all email flow via the new cloud hosted solution. After all mailboxes are fully synchronized to the cloud, plans are made to go live with the new email system. Over a holiday weekend, the necessary network changes are made and email now starts to flow into all user mailboxes. Users return to their computers as normal and their email automatically continues to work as expected, no further training is needed and email usability continues to be the same familiar task that every user has been accustomed to.
RAMCO is now positioned to take advantage of the new email platform security features and effortlessly configure mobile devices with email access. The new cloud hosted email platform can now grow with RAMCO effortlessly by simply adding additional email licenses as needed. The email migration has enabled the organization to control their costs by increasing their monthly email licenses or reducing them as needed.
